If Zenoss is used to monitor an environment consisting of only servers and devices one can use the "management" interface as the ip address that represents the device and simply not use the other ip's in Zenoss.
However, if one is monitoring a laptop, perhaps one that is checked out in a school setting and is not supposed to leave the premises, you would like to have 2 ip addresses bound to the same device, and have a primary/backup situation for zenoss to poll. The students would be plugged in during downloads for lab setup and then use wireless sometimes when they are just surfing. Is there any way to bind multiple ip addresses to a single device? -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=38991#38991 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list zenoss-users@zenoss.org http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
