on balance having read all the threads, I would agree with the move as well.

I also think the 2.0.6 -> 2.0.7 had too many changes in it (though in 
fairness a lot of that was internal to the api)

I think the stable releases in the master should be branches as Mato 
suggests should
have happened to the sustrik/zeromq eg:-

The other important thing though will be making sure there is a
