Parts of the 0MQ API are familiar but overall it's not consistent and
as a heavy user of the API that has always been annoying. I note that
the API was designed by people who _never_ used it.

I do agree that get/set (something) makes sense and will try that
change now in the pull request
(https://github.com/zeromq/libzmq/pull/249)
