MADIKERI: The state government has reserved Rs 37 crore in the Budget
to construct the hostels for backward and minority communities, state
BJP Yuva Morcha president Girish Mattannanavar.

After taking part in a Dr BR Ambedkar birth anniversary function held
in Kushalanagar on Saturday, he told presspersons that in the state
most of the hostels were lacked basic infrastructures including own
buildings.

The issue had been brought to the notice of the Deputy Chief Minister
and he responded positively by earmarking Rs 37 crore, he added. He
also said that the Yuva Morcha workers would visit the hostels and
monitor the situation. He regretted that few Dalit organizations had
been misusing the name and facility of the Dalits by exploiting the
community people.

District BJP SC Morcha president Kalaiah, town unit president GL
Nagaraju and members BB Bharatesh, Karthick and others were present.
