Andhra Pradesh Govt to construct Integrated Complex Hostels

Tirupati, July 11: The Andhra Pradesh government will construct 360
Integrated Complex Hostels (ICH) at a cost of rs 1.50 crore each to
house all the SC/ST and backward classes students under one roof all
over the state, Tribal Welfare and Development Minister D S Reddya
Naik said.

The government had already sanctioned construction of 120 ICHs in the
first phase to accomodate 400 students each in one hostel, while 240
such ICHs would be sanctioned this year, he told newspersons after
inspecting the newly built Social Welfare school at Renigunta near
here yesterday.

To provide better facilities to the SC/ST and BC students, the state
government had raised the mess allocation by 25 per cent besides
supplying fine quality rice to the hostels through the Civil Supplies
Department, he added.
