Quota for SCs, STs, OBCs in UP SHO postings Lucknow, July. 22 (PTI): The Uttar Pradesh Government has decided to implement reservations in the postings of Station House Officers of police stations in the state. Principal Secretary, Home, J N Chamber, said directives had been issued for strict implementation of the government order, which was in accordance with the announcement made by Chief Minister Mayawati. The SC/ST category people would get 27 per cent reservation in the postings of SHOs while 27 per cent quota would be provided to the OBC candidates. The backward communities from the Muslims would also be given adequate representation, he said. Officers from the general category would be appointed at 50 per cent posts.
