Mayawati must have welcomed RTE says Dalit leader STAFF WRITER 18:14 HRS IST Lucknow, Apr 10 (PTI) Days after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati expressed her inability to implement right to education citing fund crunch, a Dalit leader today said she should have rather been among the first to welcome it. "People like Mayawati and myself who come from the deprived sections of society should have been the first ones to welcome the act as Dr Ambedkar, whom we follow, had strived hard for education," Udit Raj, chairman of All India Confederation of SC\ST organisations, told reporters here. On Mayawati asking the Centre to bear the entire expenses, Raj said she could have managed it through better financial management and by checking corruption.
