Hello!

Thought you may be interested to know (if you don't already) that the 4th
Global Media Monitoring Project (GMMP) 2009-2010 got under way across
the world on
Tuesday, 10 November 09. The Network of Women in Media, India
(www.nwmindia.org) is
        coordinating the project in India.

22 volunteers (including some men) from different walks of
life, located in different parts of the country, are monitoring 26
newspapers in 10 languages, 13 TV channels in 6 languages, and 6 radio
stations in 5 languages.  Seven of them are professors/teachers and
are involving their students in the monitoring.  In addition,
students in 19 colleges scattered across the country (many outside the
large metropolises) are participating in the monitoring.
