Just a few simple nature poems... Hail Storm and Rain
Oh! That sweet scent, Everywhere, Of dust mingled, With water and air. While all around me, Is a lovely melody, Like crystals falling, Down a glass stair. And every now and then, My wet, dark world is lighted, By a gleaming serpent, Floating in gray swirly snares. While out in the world, The blowing, windy Gods, Are charging their battalions, Of winds through the air. And, upon the sky, Those great dark monarchs, Are droning, rumbling, roaring, With an ear deafening dare. While above my head, That round canopy, Is a bright blue turquoise, Set in Indian silver ware. And I watch with pleasure, And hear with delight, This masterpiece of nature, This symphony and sight. Farah (1998) ------------------------- HAIL Plink; Plonk; Plink; Diving in the pond, Whizzing through the air, Pelting on the lawn Chasing each other, On the green ground.
