Ezra Pound - In A Station Of The Metro The apparition of these faces in the crowd; Petals on a wet, black bough. The above poem is said to be written by Pound after Basho's "crow" haiku. Wallace Stevens's poem "Thirteen Different ways of Looking at a Black Bird" was again influenced by the crow haiku of Basho and back home, we have Saleem Peeradina whose "Mumbai in Thirteen Clippings"(or Thirteen 'Clocks') is a haiku-like series of poems. My opinion is that it is a tribute to Wallace Stevens.I couldn't locate the poem this time on the net.
