I am rookie at ZFS and also solaris..but i have to configure ZFS 48 disks...each one is 1 tb.. We will have two pools.. First pool will include 2 disks which is for OS(mirror will be used) Second pool will consist 40 disks and 6 controllers...and again mirror will be used... Remaining 6 disks will be used spares for both pools... This mirrored ZFS configuration for second pool must provide 20 terabytes of file system space.... http://www.solarisinternals.com/wiki/index.php/ZFS_Configuration_Guide In this site, ZFS Configuration Example (x4500 with mirror) will be a good reference but configuration provides approximately 6.24 terabytes of file system space.
