Robin Harris, a ZFS fanboy, mentioned this benchmark on his blog, and since I'm not a great fan of fanboys (though to some degree I *am* a fan of ZFS) I responded in some detail (several times, since he's not easily disabused of a misconception once he's latched onto it):
