I got my pool back!!!! Did a rig upgrade (new motherboard, processor, and 8 GB of RAM), re-installed opensolaris 2009.06, did an upgrade to snv_130, and did the import!
The import only took about 4 hours! I have a hunch that I was running into some sort of issue with not having enough RAM previously.
