I think the best way to solve this will be to slice up the drives. If the difference is as large as this, slices are likely to help you there. As others have mentioned, you can attach an 8GB mirror to a 7,5GB drive, but then, if you have autogrow=on and detach the 7,5GB drive and try to attach another 7,5GB drive, I don't think it'll work very well. Again, I'd use slices. I think, though, osol disables write cache if working with slices, and not drives.
