The C++ Developer will participate in the ongoing development and improvement of a new, groundbreaking web service which has recently launched. This service extends the so-called Semantic Web in dramatically new directions. The service is large-scale and transactional in nature, so elegant, performance-optimized design and code are essential to its success. The development team will enhance all aspects of the service, from its patented core to the support systems (billing, performance monitoring, etc.) that deliver it to the marketplace. Challenging and creative projects will come thick and fast; the environment will be active and professional, but informal. Candidates for this position should demonstrate real, creative mastery of C++/Linux application design, coding, testing and optimization, and a track record of delivering quality work in a well-structured environment.
