Senior Network Engineer
The firm seeks an exceptionally gifted individual for the role of Senior Network Engineer in its IT Systems group. Candidates should have superb network design, implementation, and troubleshooting skills, as well as strong programming skills and an excellent understanding of best-of-breed network management practices. Responsibilities include developing scalable network designs for our campus and global networks; identifying, researching, and evaluating emerging network technologies; developing and implementing network management and related tools; and engineering solutions for the firm's growing, highly-resilient network infrastructure.
Five to seven years experience with enterprise-level network design is required, as is a bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical discipline. The successful candidate must have extensive hands-on experience with enterprise-class routers and switches (Cisco experience a plus); superior understanding of network routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, and MPLS); excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, including packet-level traffic analysis; in-depth understanding of network security and access control; experience with VoIP, QoS, and IP Telephony technologies; excellent written and oral communication skills; and creative problem-solving abilities. Experience with UNIX Systems administration (Solaris, Linux) is a plus.
