· Test software applications.

· Query and update data in database tables.
· Solid communication skills.
· Fluent in English language.
*Candidate should have 4+ years experience in the following:*
· *Java and C++ programming language*,
· *User Interface design and implementation (particularly java Swing
*),
· Design Patterns,
· *MY SQL*, Oracle Database,
· JDBC, Hibernate or related ORM technologies,
· XML,
· Log4J, JUnit,
· Eclipse, MyEclipse
Ant, CVS or Subversion.
*Specific Statement of Work:*
· *Work as a member of a development team on projects. *
· *Provide operational support to existing software products
operating in a production environment (data curation, reconfiguration, bug
fixes)*
· *Follow good software development practices and adhere to
department software development lifecycle.*
· *Work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks as
appropriate to current business needs.*
· *Where required, coordinate design and development with external
groups (vendors, Common Engineering, etc.)*
· *Author design documents, build instructions and installation
instructions*
*Provide accurate estimates of time required to complete tasks, and then
execute to those estimates*
