Position Description
The Processor Compliance Analyst is an integral part of the success of our global payment management systems and works as part of our Product Development group. The Processor Compliance Analyst works closely with our Product Management group to manage interface and compliance specifications between Cient and the 40+ payment processing platforms with which were interconnected and to manage associated compliance requirements, as promulgated by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Network, NACHA and other payments standard-setting entities. The Processor Compliance Analyst maps client's business requirements between external platform technical functionality and Client systems.
Specific responsibilities include
- Serve as payment compliance subject matter expert and adjunct member to payment software engineering teams; distill compliance requirements into actionable items by team
- Act as main point of contact between payment processing platform partners and Client Product Development group; assist team by clarifying platform specifications and resolving related issues
- Clearly understand Client business requirements, Client systems functionality and external payment processing platform systems and requirements. Translate and map these requirements and functionality between internal and external systems
- Identify, document, maintain and publish features/functions between Client and the 40+ payment processing platforms with which were interconnected
- Develop, publish and maintain a calendar for upcoming compliance changes and platform upgrades; project manage compliance calendar/roadmap
- Administer payment processing platform certification process by generating and running test scripts between Client and external payment processing platform systems
Qualifications
- 5 + years experience in a systems or business analyst role
- 3+ years experience with electronic payment systems and processing
- Deep understanding of acquirer or acceptance-side payment processing, including credit card, ACH, stored value or other relevant payment mechanisms
- Deep understanding of the entire card transaction lifecycle, including authorization, capture, clearing, settlement, funding, chargeback and representment
- Experience working on or with Visa and MasterCard payment systems, including VisaNet & Banknet/GCMS, either at Visa or MasterCard or at an acquirer or payment processor directly connected to Visa and MasterCard
- Deep understanding of Visa and MasterCard operating regulations and interchange qualification rules
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical abilities including prior experience translating and communicating technical requirements
- Ability to articulate business requirements into coding algorithms in pseudo language, block diagrams, flow charts, matrices etc.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
