It is a global application which captures various transactional feeds and calculates Brokerage, Clearance, Exchange and other calculations that affect the firm’s savings. EXAMIN applications interacts with various systems in the firm, both front and back and includes transmissions between CSFB and external entities. Interactions are batch transfers. The opening provides a great opportunity to learn Non-Comp Expense savings for various product lines – equity, derivatives and fixed income as well as new technology. * DEPARTMENTAL OVERVIEW* *EXAMIN* is an Oracle database repository with a data mining layer that supports both Transactional Processing and Inquiry for operations Users. We are looking for a Sr Database analyst for the Examin database. This is an extremely high responsibility/visibility position with coverage for Architecture, Development and Production support. * MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:* • Responsibility for Design/Deployment of EXAMIN databases in all environments. • Maintaining and enhancing the Datamodel • Managing around 5 environments • Coding Debugging PL/SQL and Sprocs • Extensive troubleshooting • Production Support • Archiving • Capacity planning • Datawarehouse *SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES (e.g. shifts, travel overseas, hours):* • Job Entails a lot of work during Nights and weekends *PERSON SPECIFICATION* *EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:* Essential Desirable Bachelors in Science * Masters in Computer Science Preferable* *WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND*: Essential Desirable *12-15 years experience in Oracle as a development DBA Knowledge of J2EE application development and JAVA programming language*** TECHINICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Essential Desirable 1.
