Hi Antonis, I got 0.73.5 too and the tags are working well in TaskList, at least on Ubuntu 20.04 with Budgie desktop.
Verify that the Tags plugin is activated too. Also since a couple of versions, the plugin has properties (File / Properties) where you can set up some parameters. Maybe take a look at that too.
