1. Elder Dallin H. Oaks gave a talk on judging, I wish I could provide an exact reference for his address. He stated we are all called upon all the time to make judgements.
2. the scriptures do not prohibit judgement, only unrighteous judgement.
3. Bishops and other church leaders, in my understanding, do not act as judges for themselves, but for the church.
