Hi. I see that my question about the books has tactfully been avoided. Is this author off limits to Zion?

I haven't commented on the books because I have not read them. But I own BELIEVING CHRIST and intend to read it eventually. Brother Robinson is a religion professor at BYU and highly respected for his knowledge of the gospel and Church doctrine. In fact, to be a religion professor at BYU that respect must necessarily extend into the highest quorums of the Church since the Council of the Twelve is the board of trustees of BYU.

I doubt very much if Robinson teaches the Protestant heresy of salvation by grace alone without works. However, he explains in the introduction to the book that there is an equally heretical idea widely held in the Church that we can work our way to heaven. His book is designed to overturn that misunderstanding of gospel doctrine. And as such it may not be a balanced treatment of the Grace vs. Works debate.
