The latest version of ImapClient has been released. http://www.zope.org/Members/jack-e/ImapClient If you're interested, please test it and give feedback that I can improve it. It is mainly developed for use with Cyrus-Imap 2.xx but should work with others. It is based on code from Worldpilot but behaves like a Zope-Folder. ImapClient is a Python Product.
