[This is a general call for offers to interested parties. Apologies for the cross-post]

Greetings,

my organisation needs to hold one or more sessions of Zope training to meet current and future development and deployment needs. We use Zope as one of several (Web-)Application frameworks, and we typically need to interface and cooperate with external data sources (for example, User Management with Kerberos and other external User Sources providing user data - meaning we cannot base our UserFolders' data on Zope alone).

We will have a group of 8-12 people, most - if not all - experienced developers who will need to learn how to develop Applications on Zope, CMF, Plone and CPS. Participants can be assumed to know how to develop in Python (we will make sure of that).

We also want to focus on efficient ways to make Zope talk to Oracle, LDAP and MySQL (in that order) in an efficient and speedy manner, and how to develop high-speed, clusterable (ZEO) solutions with Zope-based technology.

At the end of the course(s) we expect the participants to be able to have a thorough understanding of what kind of frameworks Zope, CMF, Plone and CPS are, what their differences and their similarities are.

We also expect participants to know how to customise, adapt and develop applications based on Zope, CMF, CPS and Plone, how to develop add-ons to the above and how to develop Products that work with all of CMF, CPS and Plone.

To clarify, we also expect participants to be tought development techniques with File System based tools - not only on the Product level but on a solution level (i.e. all customisations, etc, of a site should be script/FS based as well).

The course(s) are scheduled to be held in March-April and possibly May, at Chalmers University of technology, Göteborg, Sweden.

We are not exclusively looking for a single party to provide courses for all of Zope, CMF, CPS and Plone; for example, you are welcome to offer training that only covers Plone or CPS.

While many of our participants can read and write english very well, they may be untrained in communicating verbally in English. It is therefore a plus if trainers are fluent in Swedish - it is an absolute requirement that trainers have good English communicative skills.

Please send your initial proposals per mail to the following address:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Please specify the following:

- Acceptable number of particiants
- What parts you are interested in
- A draft description of the training contents
- As estimate of the amount of work required from participants
- Your estiamte on how many sessions are needed
- Preliminary budget

If you have any questions regarding this offer, please contact me directly at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Sincerely,

Dario Lopez-Kästen

Hi,

I need to log messages from separate applications in the same jvm which use the same common classes, so in essence i am doing this

log.info("my host", "my application", "my message" )

through a wrapper over log4j. Any Ideas how i can write these messages to a different log file for each host/application pair, so we have

host1.app1.log
host1.app2.log
host2.app1.log  etc

Would this mean using a custom appender ? Are there any examples around on the web ?

Regards
James

wctdm is for the tdm400 card only. After you modprobe it, modprobe the
wcfxo driver and then your x100P will show up. Remember the order you
load the drivers will determine the oder they are numbered.

Critch,

I don't believe the 'order' statement is true. I played around with a
system containing a t100p and tdm04b and it turned out the t100p driver
had to be loaded first. Tried several different approaches to prove to
myself that I could load the tdm driver first, and could not find any
factual way to do it. Spent a few hours trying and don't have a clue
why, so just gave up assuming there "is" some sort of undocumented
dependency.

Rich

Hola a [EMAIL PROTECTED],

complejo i no parece haber una funcion implementada

Muchas gracias!!

LEM-Swap is for buying & selling Mac stuff. It is not a discussion list.

See the FAQ <http://lowendmac.com/lists/swap.html> for guidelines on
postings, feedback, and dispute resolution.
--------------------
Pulled from a working MacII, a 256k Radius Full Page Display card, with the Apple Nubus Adapter card, plus the mounting backplate. The MacII was just taken out of service at a University, and they threw away the cables (and the full-page monitor!) but the cards work. Asking $25 for both, plus s/h to your location. Paypal preferred.

On 04/12/13 21:04 Felix Miata apparently typed:

http://members.ij.net/mrmazda/tmp/test5.html is a reduction of a page I'm trying to build.

IE puts the top HR and the following div#contentwrap exactly where I want them, centered in the div#outerwrap space not used by the sole float, div#menu.

Gecko only puts the top HR where I want it, centering div#contentwrap in the viewport rather than the available space. Since Gecko is able to center the HR in the available space, apparently via margin-left-value: auto and margin-right-value: auto in gre/res/html.css, it ought to be able to do it with a div immediately following sized to the exact same width. So far, I've not found a way. How can this be done?

Is the top HR placement a Mozilla bug? Someone on IRC suggested the HR placement is bug 244932, but I think it, if a bug, is opposite behavior.

variables! ;)

Hola de nuevo Joseba,

for(var i:Number=3D0;i<=3D4;i++)

no me funciona...pero

for(var i=3D0;i<=3D4;i++)

me funciona perfectamente :D

me has ahorrado 3 gelocatiles ;)

saludos desde Bangkok

--- Joseba Alonso <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> escribi=F3:=20
Si
funci=F3n.
=20
Deber=EDas tener algo as=ED:
=20
for(var i:Number=3D0;i<=3D4;i++)
=20
=20
Un saludo,

Para: ACTION SCRIPT
Asunto: [ASNativos] problema de recursividad en
actionscript
=20
Hola a [EMAIL PROTECTED]
=20
estoy usando recursividad.
=20
i
=20
Es decir...por ejemplo...tengo un for i un indice
que
ejecuta el for desde i=3D0 a i=3D4...en i=3D2 la funcion
se
ejecuta a si misma...i hace el bucle for de i=3D0 a
i=3D4...ningun problema, cuando acaba, vuelve a la
funcion madre ...i DEBERIA CONTINUAR EN EL
i=3D3...pero
sale del bucle for.
=20
=20
bien...seguramente alguno de vosotros ha utilizado
recursividad en actionscript i se ha encontrado
antes
ocurre algo :)

The deserializer factory creates the deserializer. You could have the deserializer factory set the date format object on the deserializer, before it gets returned o Axis to use for deserializing. In this way, the deserializer factory could maintain a list of SimpleDateFormat objects, marking each in use, as it is set in a deserializer. You'd have to figure out how to mark the object as no longer in use, perhaps by code in the onEndElement() method in the deserializer.

I guess you could re-use complete deserializers in this way.

"Martin Heitz" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote on 14/12/2004 12:30:13:

Hi,

thanks for your answers. The reason for asking this is, that I have (de)serializers for a composed type which does not have a default constructor. So I need (as far as I understand the concept) at least a deserializer for rebuilding the object. One of the attributes of the object has the type dateTime, so I have a SimpleDateFormat to parse this. Sorrowly the SimpleDateFormat is quite expensive to create, so I do not want to create one for each parse process, but have a SimpleDateFormat class member in the deserializer to reuse it.
Now the second "but": But the SimpleDateFormat is not thread-safe, it rarely occurrs that a runtime exception is thrown or that dates are not formatted correctly. If the deserializer is not used by multiple threads simultaneously I
do not have an issue here, but if it is shred I run into trouble.'

If - as Brian J. Sayatovic writes - Axis gets a new instance each time from the factories my idea of improving performance by having a
SimpleDateFormat as class mebmber does not help anyway :-(

Best regards from sunny Black Forrest, Germany,
   Mattin

Subject: Re: Serializer- and Deserializer-objects multi-threaded?

I've never seen any reference to threads in descriptions of serializers and deserializers (Axis 1.1). Certainly, the BeanSerializer has no special code for handling multiple threads, that I can see. It looks as though a new serializer/deserializer is created, from the factory, each time a type needs to be processed in
the message. In any case, I can't quite see why you'd want to store state between calls to the serializer or deserializer, or store state in the de/serializer whilst processing a call.

for a <br>
&gt; composed type which does not have a default constructor. So I need
<br>
&gt; (as far as I understand the concept) at least a deserializer for <br>
&gt; rebuilding the object. One of the attributes of the object has the
<br>
&gt; type dateTime, so I have a SimpleDateFormat to parse this. Sorrowly
<br>
&gt; the SimpleDateFormat is quite expensive to create, so I do not want
<br>
&gt; to create one for each parse process, but have a SimpleDateFormat
<br>
&gt; class member in the deserializer to reuse it.</tt></font>
<br><font size=2><tt>&gt; Now the second &quot;but&quot;: But the SimpleDateFormat
is not thread-safe, <br>
&gt; it rarely occurrs that a runtime exception is thrown or that dates
<br>
&gt; are not formatted correctly. </tt></font>
<br><font size=2><tt>&gt; If the deserializer is not used by multiple threads
simultaneously I<br>
&gt; do not have an issue here, but if it is shred I run into trouble.'</tt></font>
<br><font size=2><tt>&gt; &nbsp;</tt></font>
<br><font size=2><tt>&gt; If - as Brian J. Sayatovic writes - Axis gets
a new instance each <br>
&gt; time from the factories my idea of improving performance by having
a<br>
&gt; SimpleDateFormat as class mebmber does not help anyway :-(</tt></font>
<br><font size=2><tt>&gt; &nbsp;</tt></font>

</tt></font>
<br><font size=2><tt>&gt; <br>
&gt; I've never seen any reference to threads in descriptions of <br>
&gt; serializers and deserializers (Axis 1.1). Certainly, the <br>
&gt; BeanSerializer has no special code for handling multiple threads,
<br>
&gt; that I can see. It looks as though a new serializer/deserializer is
<br>
&gt; created, from the factory, each time a type needs to be processed
in<br>
&gt; the message. In any case, I can't quite see why you'd want to store
<br>
&gt; state between calls to the serializer or deserializer, or store <br>
&gt; state in the de/serializer whilst processing a call.<br>

&gt; &gt; Hi,<br>
&gt; &gt; <br>
&gt; &gt; short question: Are Axis Serializer- and Deserializer-objects
shared by<br>
&gt; &gt; multiple threads (do they need to be thread-safe)?<br>
&gt; &gt; <br>
&gt; &gt; My question relates to Axis 1.1, but (because upgrading to a
newer<br>
&gt; &gt; release is always something one may not get out of sight) I am
also<br>
&gt; &gt; interested in an answer for Axis 1.2.<br>
