I've reopened 98111 because it doesn't deal with the situation where the collection is empty, i.e. when the user didn't select any of the options in the collection widgets.
Can I check the newly attached patch to the bug into 3.2, 3.3 and trunk? Are you aware of any code that would break because it expects the broken behaviour?
