Ah, yes, many thanks, that did the trick! Nevertheless, the validator does not check if someone enters a string that is too long, e.g. someone can enter "19.02.1999892839", whereas the trailing characters are truncated. Is there a way to prevent this, for instance by throwing an error? Or is there any reason for this?
