It will work fine.  I wouldn't, however, use it in production, for two
reasons:

  - '/usr/bin/python' is subject to updates which may, in theory, break
    your Zope;

  - That version is configured with at least one option (UCS-32 unicode)
    which is not really suitable for a long-running, RAM-constratned
    appserver).

I would build the "current" Python 2.4.x released version (2.4.4,
today), using only '--prefix' and '--enable-shared' (the last may be
unnecessary).
