For a younger RC bug, use a longer waiting period. But here things are clear that nothing would happen in a week. And, of course, anyway, care for any break you have caused. As a maintainer, seeing my package break after an NMU, I would sit tight and silent for a few days and wait for the NMUer to fix their damage.
