*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1721315 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1721315
I think I have a theory about this bug: It's caused by the swipe-up-from-bottom-screen-edge gesture that is configured to show caribou. I think that the cursor is swept off the screen to the bottom when you change input devices (touch/pen/mouse), and when you re-enable them by pressing or tapping the screen, it counts as this gesture. Is there a way to disable this swipe-up gesture to test? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-desktop in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1723857 Title: onscreen keyboard appears whenever i touch touchscreen Status in gnome-desktop: Confirmed Status in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in caribou package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in gnome-desktop package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I'm in 17.10.
