Breeding dogs is a very serious issue, especially tiny Chihuahuas. They
usually have to go Caesarian section due to size ESPECIALLY if you let her
breed with a larger male. I would have her at the vets asap. Training,

I rescued a chi from craqigs list. The owner was psycho. She allowed this 3.5
pound chi to breed twice. Once with another chi that was 8 pounds, the other

her. She was afraid she would die during delivery, although

I loved your post. Very encouraging! I appreciate your time in answering.
I plan on keeping in contact with the rescue coordinator. I have been torn up

Yeah yeah Raven! Nut job!! I fell in love with this little dog too. She
changed from a fearful shakey little thing to a confident and loving little
girl and had 2 people wanting to adopt her. I had her for 10 days, the shelter
had her adopted out 10 days later. She went from psycho woman
But what did the vet say about your concern about the size of the male dog? I hope she does well and has healthy beautiful puppies.

Hey Joan - thanks again - I bought the smallest one- should have it about a
week ($27 and free shipping!!) - don't plan to take Timmy anywhere he's a nut
case in the car - Liza is harnessed to the car seat - but she prefers to sit ON
the seat - no baby seats for her!

All dogs are different in how long they carry the pups. Some are right on time
and some not. The first litter we ever had, Trixie popped one pup out at 8pm
and went to sleep. Took her to the vet the next morning and she wasn't in
labor. She had the other 4 pups around noon the next day. Both of
Trixie was 3.5 lbs when she got pregnant and Taco was 5-6 lbs. They did just
fine. I think they are kind of like humans in that the babies tend to be closer
to the moms size when they are born. Izzie was 7 lbs so she had more room

My smallest girl Chi rules the roost. Instead of walking around my 30 lb

We kept 1 from the first litter, 1 from the 2nd and 2 from the third. We are

that she kept spitting out.I called the vet's office to see if they could
give her a pill that I could put in a pill pocket. They vet's office
