I had the same problem with RC2. It appears that NEEDHOSTNAME=yes gets set in
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ethX even if you hard-specify a hostname at
install.

I just gave a quick look to my saved config files when I was testing this, and
it looks liek the checkbox in drakconnect for Assign hostname from DHCP
address
