Hi Dave, Actually what you describe is EME reports as opposed to Terrestrial reports. The OOO and RO are used for EME but are also the defaults in so much as the JT65 modes were initially mainly used on EME. Either will constitute a good contact as long as RRR is exchanged. The 73 exchange is

IBOC is a method whereby both analog and digital signals are transmitted on the same frequency. Additional digital subcarriers are carried on the normal AM or FM analog signal. They extend beyond the normal channel bandwidth though so there is an increased chance of adjacent channel interference.
