To update you
ely.
Most exchange-traded funds, or EFTs, are traded on AMEX, but there are
exceptions. For example, there's an EFT (QQQM) that tracks the NASDAQ
100, and Gnucash wants the FUND namespace on that one.
Good luck, and please post any further questions.

In the past I've treated that as a stock split, adding or subtracting
the number of shares that brings you to the new total. In the U.S. I
believe a mutual fund conversion like this normally has no tax
consequence. (Note: I'm not an expert, just a guy.)

I don't understand the "with Page" phrase. What does that mean?
The suggestion of changing the default behavior to ALWAYS open a new
window would seem to result in quite a bit of desktop clutter, at
least for me. In nearly all cases in the three years I've been using
Gnucash, having all accounts
gize.
I'm assuming that Liz is suggesting that I open the *.gnucash file (open
with > gnucash) to get the second instance of the program running. Let me
know if that's not right.
Thanks again,

I'm trying to clean up some issues with an import-gone-bad which left
me with two accounts for the same mutual fund. There are, I think,
some duplicate transactions and others that appear in only one of the
two accounts, and I want to consolidate this. It will simplify matters
