Or why not use nothing, since people who want to filter have the ability to do
that with or without a prefix?

Because some of us don't mechanically filter, but use the Subject line to
visually filter. This I do effectively, my MUA
I like it.

Hi,
I think this is a bug. where to report? anyone knows a
workaround/config for that? Or shall I create and suggest a patch on my
own?
I made a transfer and saving to database failed:
mysql error: Incorrect datetime value: '1970010100' for column
'timespec_val' at row 1 mysql error:
Thanks, David. I can work around it.
Is there a link where one can see current open bugs for GnuCash?

Scroll down to the release announcement for 3.0 in
https://www.gnucash.org/news.phtml then continue to the paragraph Known
Problems...
There have been some additional messages here in the user maillist.

Colin,
Maybe your Internet went south briefly. The Bugzilla link works for me.

I'd also prefer [GC] over [GNC].

Are you saying it doesn’t behave according to Section 2.3.3 of the
Tutorial and

Ah, I should have checked there first. I did search, but somehow missed

Close. That lists the known bugs specific to 3.0 (i.e. not carried over from
earlier versions) at the time of the release.
To see the current list of open bugs (until 1 June when Gnome shuts down
bugzilla, anyway), go to https://bugzilla.gnome.org/query.cgi
Peter,
Perhaps the solution is this: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/

Haven't see this reported, but when I upgraded from 2.6 to 3.0 on my
Windows 10 device, I can't import OFX files from my Credit Union.
The normal dialog box appears that would shows matches, but is completely
blank except for the column headers. I did a Check and Repair all
transactions, deleted
Yes, that is a feature that is in the list of known bugs, so if you need
that, do not upgrade.

The Mac bundle has its own copy of sqlite3 along with almost everything else it
needs. It does use some frameworks from /System/Library/Frameworks (notably
AppKit and CoreFoundation) and one or two from /usr/lib. It does not and cannot
use anything from Homebrew; the Homebrew “recipe” for
sqlite is still installed and available on my machine.
I can't make sure which version is used though, as there are several
and I don't quite get which PATH Gnucash is using on MacOS.
It's very likely that it uses the MacOS pre-installed version and that
it hasn't changed.

This is how I do it... double click headers of all the columns which you
want to be maximized (except Description column)
And then in the end - double click "description" column.
That should fit everything on screen to best possible width.

Gday all, I've just installed 3.0, and it looks great! Unf, when I
resize one of the columns (description), I can only make it bigger, and
not smaller.
All the other fields are now too small, and it's unusable.
Any suggestions?
Thanks from down under.

Ed, have you tried double clicking in the headers of the too narrow
columns ?

Hallo all,
can anyone explain the purpose of the "import map editor" shown in the
tools menu?
All what I can find related to mapping imports is this:
https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Bayes
http://gnucash.1415818.n4.nabble.com/Fixing-confused-bayesian
-matching-data-td4685819.html
but there is nothing

Praise the Lord, that helps a great deal. Now I can use it again :)
There's still a UI bug to fix, but this is a great workaround.
Thanks for that nugget, much appreciated!

GNC happens to be the name of a vitamin store in the US that does a
pretty good job of spamming my inbox. I don't know if using GNC is the
best option. Why not just use GnuCash?
