Hmmm..another question about this whole fiasco. I dled the rpm ...transfered it
to teh server, and from a ssh sesion I was not able to install the rpm.
Is this because of security and installs like that can not be made remotly?
(and is this somethign I would be responsible for ?)

even with those I don't think you can get video out on anything but there
AGP cards not on their PCI cards. The Viper 550 and all the ATI cards are

i recognise DOS_hda1 as being the name of both the kdelnk file on your
kde desktop as a shortcut to this drive and also the name of the mount
point where this drive is mounted.
right click on the desktop icon for DOS_hda1 and choose 'properties',
you should get a box with three tabs,

I think your system is requesting the remote system to authenticate. This is
unnecessary. Your system only needs answer the authentication request from the
remote system. This feature allows both peers to mutually authenticate for
added security.
You need to add the keyword "noauth"
