[Paraview] troubles with netCDF reader ?

2017-06-16 Thread Hart, Cynthia Joyce - (cyndyb)
Folks – I am struggling with using the netCDF reader, with a bunch of timeseries of WRF data output (weather prediction modeling). I am a visualizer, NOT a meteorologist, and so, my full understanding of the model’s output is shaky at best. The researcher I am trying to assist is currently

Hi Evan, The main Kitware folks that may know this answer are on vacation. They will be back within a week’ish. If you don’t have an answer in a week, send a friendly reminder. I believe that, without some python voodoo, this is not possible. Alan From: ParaView

OK, this has been replicated twice, once at Kitware. I believe there may be two issues going on, thus wrote up two bugs – and a master bug. Numerous developers are on vacation – Utkarsh is back next week, I believe. We will see what they say at that point. Master bug:

Ken, thanks for this idea about delayed ParaView start and about RDP issues. Actually, I use FreeRDP 1.0.2 on CentOS 6.5 laptop, I don't know should it work with "real" OpenGL or with "fake" OpenGL. There are also some Citrix services on remote machine (CtxSvcHost, CitrixCseEngine e.t.c.), maybe

I believe for RDP in some cases you can get it to work by starting the application before you connect with RDP. That way it gets a real OpenGL implementation. There are some threads on the internet about using time delayed scripts to do this etc. e.g. connect with RDP, run a script to launch the

Hi, i have used a programmable filter (find it below) to calculate the lambda2-criterion from gradients of velocity. In serial mode this works fine - running it in parallel an error message comes up. Any idea what does it mean and whats wrong with the filter? Best regards, Stefan
