Well... Gap 4.10 and associated packages are a large change. I can't see it going straight from positive_review to release. Including it would entail at least a 8.5.rc2, and a decent shakedown period. This argues strongly in favor of Volker's suggestion of releasing 8.5 "as is" from 8.5.rc1.
