steps to reproduce:
1. run rmlint to generate a script for deleting duplicates

I've got the same problem with ZTE MF636 - modem manager uses ttyUSB2, while it
should be ttyUSB3.
I think I found a little simpler solution to this problem, just added one line

Hello, I confirm this problem, after short investigation i've found that:
- if password is in /etc/gpasswd - newgrp doesn't work,
- if password is in /etc/group then newgrp works as expected.
So temprorary solution is to put group password into /etc/group file,
hashed with md5 (for obvious reason
Anyway - please fix it, as it's rather disturbing bug.

Since Daan seems to have migrated definitively to Windows, I will try to
answer. I experience this problem under Xubuntu, so, there are no
nautilus components installed on my computer, and I wouldn't want to
install any. As garybrlow explained on post 3, this worked perfectly in

Come on! I am running Lubuntu 10.04 and still my serial mouse is not
recognized! I have to manually edit xorg.conf and restart X and it
works. But what about people who have old computers and don't know how
to use terminal?

/usr/share/... File with picture is present, I checked also udev rules
wich also exist in /lib/udev/rules.d. It helped to copy icon to ~/.icons

I can confirm that CTRL+V pasting fails randomly in Xubuntu Thunar since

Apparently, newer versions of Ubuntu have the loop stuff compiled into the
kernel, and not longer as a module:

A quick search in my Xubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope install shows no signs of
the loop module:
$ sudo modprobe -l | grep loop
Despite the fatal module error, the installer seems to mount the ISO
properly. The contents of the /cdrom directory in the installation
process is the same as the ISO file.
What does not match, is the directory structure: /var/log/syslog tells
us that the installer complains about missing

Hello! It's a problem with your sysv-rc package, which contains update-
rc.d script. It is probably not from Ubuntu package repository. Please
