On 14.04, with an Intel graphics card, installing GDM (and choosing
that as the default) instead of Lightdm worked for me. All of the
suggestions with 'sleep' or 'lightdm service restart' were useless for

My system was fully patched, setting this bug to confirmed.
I'm not convinced that this bug is related to the kernel though, because
of the workaround (patching /etc/default/halt). I'll check my other

When a filter is activated, and the filtering screen it self is hidden
(by clicking on 'Filter results' again), it is not clear in any way that
you are looking at a filtered resultset.
Use case: if a user cannot find something, the first step should to
revoke filtering. But

Shortcut Ctrl-F is not

When applyimg updates, the window shows a details section on which a
user can click to see the details.
Problems:
- when clicked on details, the containing window is not expanded, so the info
to be seen is only one line
- the detail info seem not to be updated: it stays the
