But I cant seem to get it to work, ive tested out various way of adding
this ppa and applying the fix but i keep getting duplicate ppa error and
it doesn't work, now it keeps wanting me to restart Ubuntu to apply
changes, i do

I agree with #346 above: Unity just doesn't work that way, and is not
supposed to work that way. I personally never used this requested
functionality even on Windows; the minimize button is a much more
