Hey Dave,
I would avoid the fluorescents due to the 50 Hz flicker. If you're
crammed for space then bounce the floodlight or bright incandescents
off a couple of white cards – you'll soften the light in the process.
Great vlog!

I've got the 4mb Xacti VPC-C40, and I love it. I' ve had it outside in
steamy, muggy, and even high humidity and it hasn't failed me yet.
I wouldn't take it underwater unless I had it in say a ziploc bag.

Hi Richard:
I Use HyperCam2. You'll have to use Quicktime for Windows to convert
the .AVI files to a more Mac friendly codec though. I edit the files
on FC Pro (HD timeline) and they look great. Remember to set the

As someone who has analyzed the AppleCare policy, it isn't worth it. Most

One could always use more advanced material, perhaps PVC piping. It's easy to
drill, easy to put together and fairly lightweight.

This part really bothered me:
He said that since I didn't have a NY State ID he couldn't run my

asked me to turn around and put my hands behind my back and then he
My biggest concern is incidental art. There have been numerous times
where I've caught music in a car or outside in my videos.
This is why I'm a strong proponent of reforming copyright law, and

I'll keep it around for video though, it rocks at that.

The connector for the camera end has always stricken me as a little

I'm quite impressed by the performance of the Sanyo Xacti c40. It's an

can get them at Radio Shack of all places, and with a 2GB SD card (2

S-Corps are usually the sole proprietorships.
