is the title of a book by Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton, the same guys who
brought you The Manual for Ministry Of Sound.

The book is basically about the history of DJing, early clubs, music and almost
everything that has something to do with these subjects.

I haven't finished the book yet, but I already can say it is definately worth
hunting down. Especially the parts about Northern Soul and Garage are very well
put. Reading about the Paradise Garage, Larry Levan, Tony Humpries, Zanzibar
etc makes me wish I could be 20 years older and experienced everything. The
part about Techno is a bit thin, but hey, we've got the "Techno Rebels" to
cover that part!

What can I say? If you are interested where everything comes from and where it
started from, this book is a good buy.
