hiya, shannon & list -

the st. regis isn't downtown proper, but i can get you in there at $69 usd room & tax per night. i also work with the atheneum in greektown, but for that weekend i don't think that they'll give me any break on the rates. the st. regis is about 10 minutes taxi ride north of hart plaza (where the fest is) so it's not bad. let me know, i just checked with the st. regis and they said that at this point they weren't in a sold-out and that they should be able to hold that rate for me.

take care,
linda g

at this point i'm just looking for suggestions about where to stay. we were
hoping for somewhere downtown proper, but everyone's rates seem
prohibitively high. best quote we've been able to get for the little
marriot (not renaissance center proper) was about $110 a night. that's
icky.

thx.
