i know that the 808 was used a lot in mainstream music in the 80's and
whatnot. does anyone know how widely used it is today in hiphop/rnb/etc?
the rnb group blaque has a track called 808 and although im not a fan of
rnb, i was attracted to the song at first cause they sang about an 808
(among other things). i was under the impression that 808's are rarely used
today in most popualar music, and i thought that blaque just sang about
808's to be old skool.
any thoughts?
