I saw Surgeon and Ruskin last night. I think the assessments thrown up on this list were very accurate. Now I know why the Surgeon is called that - he is very clinical. His technique was OK, it just lacked the funk or any feeling. Ruskin was great - very funky. He is very versatile technically and had a good selection of tracks. He played Mills, Ho, etc. I was very impressed. Catch this guy if he comes to a town near you.
