Not tried one yet. But I have to think that a good comparison would be my laptop which is a 1.7ghz Pentium M, which gets completely bogged down by anything other than the simplest of Ableton Live 8 sets.
And a netbook with enough storage and memory to be actually useful is more than $250 -- I'd think about getting a conventional laptop for a little bit more. If you're worried about portability, get one of the smaller models.
