Long standing debate that one - maybe they (female producers/djs/writers) just can't break through or maybe they don't get into it in the first place because they know it'll be too hard to break through...or maybe their brains are wired differently and they just don;t care enough about the Man/Machine interface, circuit boards, reall yobscure mispresses and other highly interesting things :)
