It's not "Dubstep" apparently (even though it's on Hyperdub)- it's "UK Funky" - possibly the worst name for a genre since......errr, I don't know - NU Jazz? It sounds like a mixture of 4 Hero's Talking Loud era stuff and maybe some Phil Asher/Restless Soul stuff and......early 90's deep bass techno (Forgemasters/Rythmatic) - and maybe some of the freestylin' early Detroit Rythyms - Ive been impressed with what I've heard so far in everything but name.
