not to ignite the "death of vinyl" thread again, we've had it enough. But more because I'm bemused by the quantities of singles you have to sell to make the UK top 40 now. E.g. Florence & The Machine at number 16 with 64 CDS / 7". And although the article is a bit "death of the physical" it's also "death of the single" as they say downloads aren't doing that well either with tracks to phones "doing about twice as well as physical singles".
