wow, don't even get me started on 'Positive Education' ... i'd be interested to find how well played it is around the states, for me this is one of my all time favourite records ... though the 'progressive house' version on the flipside is a bit iffy.
there's a newer version out with Derrick Carter, Plastikman, Luke Slater remixes on vinyl and CD that's much better... of course i'm wondering when Slam are going to release another album, and when they're going to stop by in California! speaking of slam mixes, for those who haven't checked, theres a rather decent Slam mix tucked away on the Somarecords.com website, just pretend to fill in the online form and you get a free 25 minute mp3. Shorter Gene Farris mix there also. ------Original Message------ From: "Paul Hudson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <313@hyperreal.org> Sent: October 23, 2000 8:08:56 AM GMT Subject: Re: [313] Funk D void in Detroit Tonight > > I hear he's done a mix of e-dancer's 'banjo'... anyone heard this & can > provide comments? A fantastic record and definatly a favorite of mine. Overall a mellow sound but builds and builds in a way that reminds me of Slams Positive Education for some reason.
